WinFS is back *ONLINE* July 1st, 2010 at 12:06 pm
A workaround has been put in place which has allowed the file server to boot. All shares are back online as of now. WinFS will be down for extended maintenance on Friday for diagnostics.

WinFS is still down. We have tested any cause that would be simple and trivial to fix, and are now performing a more detailed diagnostic. However, we estimate that some file services will be available in the next hour.

Comptuer Support Update - WinFS Outage, Friday 07.02.10, 7PM to 9PM June 29th, 2010 at 12:56 am
Chemistry Computer User,
All group shares on the windows file server WinFS will be offline on Friday, 07.02.10, from 7PM until 9PM. We are migrating many of the group shares to a larger volume. If this will cause you a significant interruption, please reply to this email so that we can make arrangements which better fit your groups’ schedule.
